Biography

Riyad Alipashali is a second-year undergraduate student of electrical engineering at Brno University of Technology in the Czech Republic, specialising in power systems and automation. He began his studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, working on electronics and embedded systems, and the research he did there in 2023 became his project Radiation Detecting Drone, which he later developed further with his team.

Radiation Detection Methods: Principles, Applications, Limitations and Emerging AI Technologies

Radiation detection plays a critical role in various fields, including nuclear power, medical imaging, environmental monitoring, and national security. This literature review examines the different methods employed for radiation detection, highlighting their principles, advantages, limitations, and recent advancements. The review covers ionization chambers, scintillation detectors, semiconductor detectors. Additionally, it explores the integration of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques in radiation detection. By providing a comprehensive overview of radiation detecting methods, this review aims to contribute to the understanding and advancement of radiation detection technologies
